Chrome and matte metal: cleaning done right

Chrome and matte metal need opposite care, and one mistake easily ruins the finish. Chrome hates abrasives: wash with soft water, dry fully and polish with a grit-free paste, or you’ll get micro-scratches.

Matte surfaces, on the contrary, must not be polished — that makes them «shine in patches». Clean them with mild chemistry and microfibre, without gloss waxes. A couple of the right products and the bike keeps its look for years.
